Final Graphic Collage

In this post, I decided to express and share with you about a facet of my life that is very important to me.  I love animals.  I always have and always will.  Even before I was born, my parents had horses and other critters on our small hobby farm.  So naturally, I have grown up around animals my whole life.  Horses, cats, chickens, dogs, fish, salamanders and cows were all animals that I have been lucky enough to spend my childhood around.  However, dogs are my favorite animal, and I can’t help but have a soft spot for them.  Right before coming to college, my family and I had to put down our yellow lab of 12 years because of cancer.  That was one of the saddest days of my life.  I plan on buying a Golden doodle in May of this year to be a companion for me.  And this is why I chose to do my collage on dogs.  Not only are they my favorite animal, but I have been doing a lot of research on dog breeds lately and thought that it would be a great topic!  In this collage, I included three puppy pictures.  The main background picture is of two German shepherd puppies.  The second picture is of an English bulldog puppy and the third is of a golden retriever puppy.  I decided to make the German shepherd picture the background because it was my favorite picture.  I layered the other two pictures on top of the German shepherd picture to create a collage effect.  I also changed the shape of the second and third pictures to make it more visually appealing.  I added some text to the collage.  I did this because I wanted to create a central theme for my collage pictures to look and work well together.  I also added another picture of a heart.  I thought that it was a cute idea, and it added more visual stimulus to the collage.  To tie everything together, I added a pink haze around the outside of the whole collage to make everything look nice, but I was careful to not get the pink haze overlapping the shadows that I added to the two small puppy pictures.
